Seafair Islanders Pee Wee A1 hockey team continued the outstanding start to its season by capturing the 11th annual Gil Martin Pee Wee AAA Tournament on the weekend in Langley.
The Islanders headed to the Fraser Valley as the No. 1 ranked team in the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association after being the only club to complete placement play with an unbeaten record (7-0-1).
The championship game in Langley featured Seafair taking on Kamloops in a battle of unbeaten teams. The locals would prevail in an overtime thriller on a goal by Jaden Uy.
This dedicated group of players, that features three girls on the team, looks forward to a competitive regular season in PCAHA’s Flight #1 group.
