The Richmond provincial group of the Vancouver Pacific Wave synchronized swimming club travelled to their this past weekend in Kamloops.
The 12 and Under team, coached by Heather Middleton and consisting of Amy Daiminger, Teija Harries, Kioko Mayede, Emma Stewart and Ashleigh Wood, placed fourth.
Stewart, under coach Elise Fagnan, performed a solo and received a silver medal for her age 11-12-year-old age group. Harries also captured in the 10 and under figures competition. Fagnan was recognized with a special award for excellence in coaching.
Earlier, the club sent a junior team to the Shisedio Canadian Open where it topped all other B.C. entries with a seventh place showing.
Meanwhile, Stefanie Dickinson was selected to the Canadian National Junior Team thanks to seventh overall ranking out of 156 eligible athletes. She is coached by Kara Kalin Zader.
