Capacity crowds generated an electric atmosphere at the Richmond Olympic Oval last weekend for the final stop of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix.
The three-day event featured women’s national volleyball teams from Canada, Germany, Peru and the Czech Republic. The hosts finished with a 1-2 record that was highlighted by a win Saturday over Peru.
The Richmond stop concluded the Grand Prix season. Canada finished with a 3-6 record in Group 2, its best performance in the program’s history. Earlier this year, the national team re-located its training centre at the Oval from Winnipeg.
