The 2014 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League (CWBL) Women's Championship will be returning to the Richmond Olympic Oval next April.

The tournament will feature elite female players from across Canada, including past, present, and future members of Team Canada who will be competing for a remarkable seventh consecutive podium finish at the world championship - taking place June 20-28, 2014 in Toronto.

Spectators will have the opportunity to experience all of the skill and athleticism that make wheelchair basketball the most popular sport for athletes with a disability in the world.

"We are very excited for B.C. to host the 2014 Canadian Wheelchair Basketball League Women's Finals, which promises to be the one of the best women's tournaments ever," said Wheelchair Basketball Canada Executive Director Wendy Gittens. "All of the top club teams in the country will be assembled to showcase the women's game. It's a great opportunity for people to catch a glimpse at some of the top female athletes in the country and experience the ongoing growth of the sport as excitement builds toward the 2014 Women's World Wheelchair Basketball Championship."

The B.C. Breakers will be looking for their third gold medal in five years. They last won the CWBL Women's Championship in front of a hometown crowd when the tournament was hosted at the Richmond Olympic Oval in 2012.
