Nomination deadline Saturday for Richmond Sports Awards

Athletes, coaches, administrators and officials to be honoured at 22nd annual banquet in May

Nominations for the Richmond Sports Council’s 22nd annual Richmond Sports Awards are now being accepted until Saturday (Feb. 29). 

The Richmond Sports Awards Committee is looking for nominations in several categories, recognizing athletic, coaching, officiating and administrative achievements during the 2019 calendar year.

The categories include: Youth Female (U18), Youth Male (U18), High School Female, High School Male, Junior Female (18-20), Junior Male (18-20), Post Secondary Female, Post Secondary Male, Adult Male, Adult Female, Senior Female (55 and over), Senior Male (55 and over), Special Olympics, Athlete with a Disability, Female Youth Team (U19), Male Youth Team (U19), Mixed Youth Team (U19), Adult Team, Coach, Official and Administrator. 

The winners will be recognized at the Richmond Sports Awards Banquet on May 7 at McMath Secondary School. 

The nominator should attempt to paint a complete picture of the candidate, as the committee will be relying solely on this information to base their decision. Nominations can be emailed to richmondsportsawards@richmond.ca.
