Potential new players are invited to come out and give field lacrosse a try when Richmond Lacrosse hosts a girls jamboree on Saturday at Minoru Park.

The event will feature teams from throughout Metro Vancouver, competing in U12 (2000-02) and U15 (1997-99) divisions.

Richmond Lacrosse is fielding a U15 girls team this season and still have some roster spots available. Potential players only need to sign a player card and waiver (with their parents' permission) to give it a try.

Girls field lacrosse is a great conditioning and cardio sport. It is also one of the fastest growing sports south of the border at the collegiate level with Canadian players being heavily recruited.

The jamboree action runs from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Minoru's #2 field turf.
