The culmination of the youth soccer season begins this coming weekend with the spotlight once again being on Richmond.

After successfully hosting the Coastal "A" and "B" Cup Championships in May, Minoru Park will be site of the inaugural Provincial Premier Cup Championships. The two-day tournament will feature teams from the fledgling EA Sports B.C. Premier Soccer League. The provincial champion in the U14, U16 and U18 categories qualify to compete at the National Club Championships, organized by the Canadian Soccer Association, which take place in October.

The Provincial "A" Cup will take place the following weekend July (5-8) in Kamloops with a whopping six Richmond teams scheduled to participate.

On the boys side, Richmond United's U13, U15, U16 and U18 will be looking to conclude their outstanding seasons in grand style after earlier winning Coastal Cup championships.

In girls action, the U18 Richmond Red Hot Selects will be out to cap a dominating run through youth soccer that included a Coastal Cup win in May and the U16 B.C. and Coastal titles in 2011.

The U14 Richmond Synergy will also be participating after reaching the Coastal Cup final.
