The Richmond Ravens battled Portland in Pee Wee C2 Division action at the 21st annual Ice Classic, held on the weekend at the Richmond Ice Centre.

Outstanding representation from throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond was certainly evident in the winner’s circle at the 21st annual Richmond Ravens Ice Classic.

The season-ending tournament once again attracted entries from Western Canada, the Western United States and Yukon Territory to participate in four different age divisions — ranging from Midget to Novice Cross-Ice.

The host association more than held its own, highlighted by Midget C1 Ravens capturing gold thanks to a 2-0 win over the Vancouver Angels in the championship game, on a pair of goals from Grace Matts.

Tony Lindsay’s squad also received terrific goaltending from Emma Fedoruk. She did not allow a goal in the tournament as the Ravens posted three shutout wins in round-robin play and also blanked Washington 3-0 in the semi-finals.
