A pair of graduating city senior boys basketball standouts will get to play in their own backyard one final time.
Bryce Mason and Andrew Reddy have been selected to play in B.C. Boys Basketball’s all-star games on Saturday at RC Palmer.
Reddy, who helped the Griffins advance to last month’s provincial tournament, will be playing for the 2A All-Stars when they face the 1A Stars at 5 p.m.
Mason, a three-year starter for the McMath Wildcats, will be suiting up for the 3A All-Stars when they take on the 4A All-Stars at 7:30 p.m.
Reddy and Mason were both Richmond First Team All-Stars for their respective teams. McMath won their first city title in over a decade.
The day’s schedule begins with Three-Point preliminaries starting at 2:15 p.m. and the Slam Dunk qualifying at 3:15 p.m.
A big reason the games have taken place at Palmer in recent memory is longtime teacher and coach Paul Eberhardt has also served as president of the B.C. Boys High School Basketball Association for the past four years. He has just completed his term.
