The competition brought together clubs from Hawaii, Mexico, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, Washington State and the Vancouver area.

While Steveston's group was a lot smaller than other years, the local members still managed to pull through with several awards.

Sean O'Sullivan captured the High School Boys Division, while Wendy Robillard was second in the Senior Ladies Black Belt Division. Also reaching the podium was Ryan Murao with a third place finish in the 1-2 Dan Black Belt Division.

Leo Leung, David Yao and Paul Lee joined O'Sullivan and Murao to place third in the Senior Team event.

While they did not place, 11-year-old Kenta Muramatsu and 16-year-old Brandon Kato Wilson showed great promise and will no doubt be finding success in the near future.
