Richmond's Alex Kam has been named to the B.C. U23 men's rugby team that will will be playing an English touring side tonight in West Vancouver.

The provincial squad will be going up against Durham University with the match slated to get underway at 6: 30 p.m. at Klahanie Park.

Kam, a former standout with the McRoberts secondary rugby program, has continued his career with the UBC Thunderbirds where he served as team captain last season. He will be starting in B.C.'s front row.

Durham is expected to give B.C. a sterner test than last week's 57-25 victory over St. Andrew's University. The hosts will have eight new faces in their starting line-up due to injuries and availability.

"We wanted to try out some different combinations as Durham will be a different prospect to St. Andrew's," said head coach Dave Brown. "We will need to be much better in all aspects of our performance."
