Richmond Girls Softball Association hosted their U12B tournament at Steveston-London Park and could not have asked for a better match-up in the finals.
It proved be an all RGSA affair with the 2005B Islanders taking on the 2006B Islanders.
The hard-working ’05s went unbeaten in the round-robin play while the up-and-coming talented ’06s went 3-1.
The ’05s beat Sooke Sliders and the ’06s upset the Coquitlam Classics in the semi-finals, setting the stage for the all-Islanders final.
The ’05s prevailed to earn the gold medal, while the ’06s proudly took home the silver. Hats off to both Islanders teams!
