The Delta Ice Hawks have rallied with two straight wins against the Richmond Sockeyes to force a seventh and deciding game in the Pacific International Junior Hockey League's Tom Shaw Conference finals.

The cross-river rivals will meet on Monday night (8:45 p.m.) at Minoru Arena with the winner advancing to meet the Aldergrove Kodiaks in the PIJHL championship series.

The Sockeyes had the defending PIJHL champions on the ropes with a 3-1 series lead before the Hawks pulled out a 5-4 win at Minoru on Thursday then returned home two nights later to prevail 4-2.

Defenceman Matthew Delblanco led the way for the Hawks in game six with a pair of goals. Aaron Merrick and Kolten Grieve also scored. Danton Heinen scored for the Sockeyes.

This is the fourth consecutive year Delta and Richmond have met in the PIJHL semi-finals. The Ice Hawks were victorious in 2010 and 2012 while the Sockeyes needed seven games to prevail in 2011.
