Chinese sprint star making her way to Vancouver for Jerome Classic

Liang Xiaojing will be in Vancouver next month to compete for her country at the inaugural Pacific World Cup Team Sprint Challenge which will be part of the 35th annual Harry Jerome Games.

Fresh of her win in the 60-metres event at the 8th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, rising Chinese sprint star Liang Xiaojing will be making her way to Vancouver next month for the 35th annual Harry Jerome Classic.

The 20-year-old won the race in a time of 7.20 seconds. The native of China’s Guangdong province, is the past winner of the women's 100m crown at the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games (2014). She has a best time of 11.49 over that distance. She is also a member of China’s 4x100 relay team.

Xiaojing is set to compete in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m events at the Jerome Classic as part of the inaugural Pacific World Cup Team Sprint Challenge between China and Canada. 

The meet takes place June 26-27 on the refurbished track at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
