The Delta Blaze continued their perfect run in to the Richmond Adult Soccer Association Summer League’s First Division with hard-fought 1-0 victory over Binger’s Army.
Matt Rota’s goal provided the difference as the Blaze improved to 5-0-0 on the season. The result leaves them tied for top spot in the division with the a game in hand over the Rinos Tigers (5-1-0).
Meanwhile, in Second Division play, a battle of expansion teams saw the Vancouver Greencaps and Vancouver Strikers play to a 1-1 draw. Ryan Morgan scored for the Greencaps and Kyle Hildebrandt replied for the Strikers.
Other action saw Bombastic edge the Richmond Hibernians 2-1 to take control of first place — two points clear of the Strikers with a 4-1-2 record.
