Black Sox lift Interlock title at Brighouse Field

Richmond City Baseball's Bantam A Black Sox completed a very successful season by winning the Interlock Playoff Title at Brighouse Field.

Richmond City Baseball's Bantam A Black Sox completed a very successful season by winning the Interlock Playoff Title at Brighouse Field.

After compiling a 14 - 2 record in the regular season, the Black Sox defeated Burnaby South A's and Vancouver Cardinals to reach the championship game against the Richmond City's Downtown Boys.

The Downtown Boys led for much of the game but the Black Sox kept the score close.

Justin Miura made a spectacular catch in left field to end the top of the 7th, keeping the Black Sox within two.

With Brock Glasgow and Justin Miura on base in the bottom of the 7th, Kieran Moon hit a 1-1 offering over the center field fence to secure the victory for the Black Sox.

The Black Sox were coached by Eric Marriott and Andrew Weston. Team players were Gerrit Trouw, Jordan Balogh-Callow, Sean Rosenhek, Colin Szeplabi, Peter Li, Ryan Brown, Daniel Sekimoto-Hoh, Brock Glasgow, Kieran Moon and Justin Miura.
