To celebrate the Lunar New Year, we are featuring lovely dogs in Richmond throughout February. Today’s dog is Sugar, a terrier mix, Denise’s family member. Let’s take a look at what Denise had to say about her.
Owner’s note: Sugar was a stray in Los Angeles. She was a day away from being put down at a high kill shelter when she was rescued by a wonderful lady in Washington. We saw her picture on Petfinder and instantly knew we needed a little “Sugar” in our lives.
We travel a lot. Sugar doesn’t seem to mind since she gets to have sleepovers at her best friend Ozzy’s house. Ozzy is the German shepherd that lives across the street from us. She gets really whiny when she sees Ozzy outside playing because she wants to go play with him. When we adopted Sugar in March 2016, we said she would not be allowed on the furniture. Guess who has owned all the furniture in our house since day one?
She loves toys and plays with all of them! She loves chasing squirrels, although she’ll never catch them!
We live in north Richmond, and she really is an amazing addition to our family. We can’t imagine life without her. We didn’t know you can love an animal this much!
