A construction worker is in serious condition after a near 800-pound pane of glass fell on him at the River Green site in the Olympic oval precinct.
The accident happened last Thursday afternoon at the condo developments construction site on River Road, run by Ledcor.
Its understood that the pane of glass was being unloaded at ground level when it fell on top of the man, who was working for sub contractor Mara Projects, according to Worksafe BC.
The worker was taken to hospital and, as of Tuesday, his condition was described as serious.
Our investigation is ongoing and the length of time it will take will depend on the complexity, said Worksafe BCs Megan Johnston.
We will be looking at a number of things, including worker training and checking the equipment for flaws.
