From the sampling, there's something for everyone in Richmond this weekend.

1. Explore a fire truck

Richmond Fire-Rescue is partnering with Neighbourhood Play Days for a free event where everyone can learn about fire life safety and explore a real fire truck.

Art2Heart will also present simple arts and crafts.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: South Arm Park, 8680 Williams Rd.

2. Mobile farmer's market

An Abbotsford blueberry farmer and local farming advocate is organizing a travelling farmers' market, which will visit Abbotsford, Surrey, and Richmond.

Produce like free-range eggs, cucumbers, zucchinis, eggplants, corn, chili peppers, raw honey and more will be sold by medium and large-scale farmers.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Location: Norman's from S&H, 2691 Simpson Rd.

3. Reducing stigma event

A Richmond pastor is organizing an event to turn stigma against people struggling with addictions, homelessness and mental health issues into support.

The event at St. Alban’s Anglican Church is called “Together, from Stigma to Support” and will feature a panel discussion, keynote speakers and information tables.

Vancouver Coastal Health is also offering to train attendees on how to use naloxone kits, which are used to reverse an opioid overdose.

Date: Saturday, Aug. 30 to Sunday, Aug. 30, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Location: St. Alban's Anglican Church, 7260 St. Albans Rd.

4. Steveston market

The Steveston Farmers and Artisans Market is taking place this Sunday.

There will be fresh produce, prepared foods and crafts from local B.C. owners.

Dogs on leashes are welcome to join the event that will take place rain or shine.

Date: Sunday, Aug. 31, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location: Garry Point Park, 12011 Seventh Ave.
