Winds knock down security fences in Steveston

A Richmond News reader noted fallen fencing after a mild windstorm in Steveston.

The wind almost hit 50 kilometres/hour in Richmond early Tuesday morning, according to Environment Canada, knocking down construction fencing in Steveston.

Richmond News reader Allissa Ritchie captured the after-effects around the Steveston Community Centre construction site as well as along Railway Avenue.

Ritchie took the photos on Boxing Day morning.

According to Weatherhood.com, the rest of Boxing Day will be sunny and mild, but the rain returns on Wednesday.
