Francis Road was briefly closed off on Saturday evening due to a four-vehicle collision.

The accident happened near Francis and No. 2 roads shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, according to Richmond RCMP spokesperson Dennis Hwang.

Police closed off the area for investigation and speed is considered a factor, he added.

According to a BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson, one ambulance attended the scene and cared for one patient, who was sent to the hospital.
