Shopping trips were cut short on Saturday evening when patrons had to be evacuated from Richmond Centre.
Reddit user Patient-Summer-8438 posted a video to the social media platform that showed a fire alarm going off inside the mall around 7:30 p.m.
Mall users can be seen calmly walking out of the building and standing outside in the parking lot on Saturday, May 13.

Another Reddit user, pzkl_, posted photos showing several firetrucks on the west side of Richmond Centre, in the covered parking lot near Hudson Bay.
They told the Richmond News the firetrucks were there for some time, but people were being let back in shortly after 8 p.m.
