Thunder roared and lightning flashed across Richmond skies Monday night as Mother Nature put on a dazzling springtime electrical show.
At one point, torrential rain poured down as the storm passed overhead, moving on to other parts of the Lower Mainland.
Some Richmondites shared their videos and photos of the storm on social media.

Richmondite Sean Uy shared a video and photo of the storm lighting up the sky, taken from his backyard.
Nathan Gan, meanwhile, shared a video on Twitter of the downpour, with rain appearing to fall sideways.
There’s still a chance of another thunderstorm, according to Environment Canada.
The weather agency is forecasting a mainly cloudy Tuesday with a 60 per cent chance of showers and “risk of thunderstorms.”
There’s also a risk of thunderstorms Tuesday evening, although the chance of showers falls to 30 per cent.
