A 43-year-old man with special needs, who was reported missing from his Richmond home on Aug. 1, has been found safe and well.
Anthony Papa has been returned to his caregiver and is in good physical condition, according to police.
Cpl. Stephanie Ashton, media relations officer for Richmond RCMP, said it was as a “direct result of tips from the public that this man is home safe and sound.”
“We cannot thank our citizens enough for taking the time to tell us where and when they saw him,” added Ashton.
Papa — who has the mental capacity of a ten-year-old — had been missing since 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.
He had gone missing in the past and taken off on what he likes to call “adventures throughout the Lower Mainland.”
Police were concerned he wouldn’t be taking care of himself during the hot weather.
