Tim Hortons at Ironwood closed on Saturday due to staff members either being exposed to or testing positive for COVID

One of Richmond’s busiest Tim Hortons has closed its doors until next week due to possible, multiple staff members being exposed to or testing positive for COVID-19.

Management at Tim’s at Ironwood on Steveston Highway locked the doors on Saturday and placed a sign on the window indicating it had closed due to “health reasons.”

However, a statement given to the Richmond News by the company confirmed the location had closed “temporarily” for “cleaning and sanitization.”

“Team members are self-isolating for 14 days and the restaurant is expected to re-open on May 5.”

The restaurant is not listed on Vancouver Coastal Health’s public exposures website, which names businesses forced to close when three or more staff test positive for COVID-19.
