News that tickets to A Conversation with Former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama sold out yesterday before even being made available to the public has social media lit up with frustrated comments.
Tickets to the general public were supposed to open Jan.18, however, all the tickets were sold out on the first day of pre-sales which were made exclusive to members of The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Jan.10.
Here is what people are saying on social media:
Going on a ticket hunt for the next month to see Michelle Obama. Nothing will stop me from seeing the lovely lady in Vancouver. Not even sold out tickets #WHY

@BarackObama @MichelleObama @JoeBiden Hey, it’s me. Can a girl get some tickets to see Michelle speak in Indy? I’m a poor public school teacher. pic.twitter.com/ZtrPgmr0Nt

Bet if Michelle Obama knew she's hold another event for mainly women who would love to hear her talk.

Pretty poor PR of the Board of Trade to do this. Will mean majority of those attending will be men. @MichelleObama How about a talk at our Queen Elizabeth Theater while here?
I hope @MichelleObama hears this and gives the rest of us a chance to see her in Vancouver again. https://t.co/2I5NO6IS0V

Well, this sucks. Regular people don't even get a chance to get @michelleobama tickets, just corporations? Boo that. @boardoftrade https://t.co/ADmQ7GyZLz
