Richmond RCMP received a report of a sexual assault that happened near a local park last week.
A victim told police that the incident happened on Friday, May 9, between 10 and 10:30 p.m. near Manoah Steves Neighbourhood School Park, where a stranger approached her.
During the interaction, the victim says she was sexually assaulted, according to Richmond RCMP.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male who was between 20 and 30 years old. He is between 5’7” to 5’9” in height and 175 to 185 pounds in weight.
The male was wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, a ball cap and possibly work boots as well.
His vehicle is described as a silver or light grey Toyota Tacoma crew cab pickup truck.
Richmond RCMP's general investigation unit determined there were at least two potential witnesses in the park at the time.
Anyone who may have been at Manoah Steves Neighbourhood School Park between 9:30 and 11 p.m. or was driving in the area with dash cam footage on May 9 is asked to come forward and speak with RCMP investigators.
