Passengers traveling through Vancouver International Airport on Monday may have experienced significant delays as Air Canada experienced a network outage nationwide.
Shortly before 9 a.m., YVR tweeted about the issue and Air Canada confirmed its service interruptions via Twitter shortly after.

Some travellers were frustrated by the extensive delays and long line ups.
Been sitting inside the plane on Flight 234 to YYG since 8:30am. Only offered water twice. No food. Should not have boarded the passengers manually when the system is down. Could at least be eating and waiting inside the airport.

Fantastic - four hour delay and then @AirCanada just cancels our flights.

Best part? Just two customer service agents...
Can they make it more of a mess at @yvrairport?
Some travellers were impressed with how the airport handled the delays, however.
Pretty cool of the @yvrairport crew with CEO Craig Richmond handing out refreshments to the passengers waiting on #AirCanada.#YVR Best in North America#details @GlobalBC @NEWS1130

I gotta give it to the flight crew of @AirCanada 103 & ground crew @yvrairport this morning. They jointly handled deplaning a full 777 swiftly, pleasantly & efficiently, amidst a massive computer outage on the ground.
