One elementary school in Richmond will be expanded as part of the B.C. government's $353 million injection into the province's education infrastructure.

Henry Anderson elementary, on Alberta Road near Garden City Road and Granville Avenue, will get an addition, although it's not clear how much it will cost and how big it will be.

"This is very exciting news for the children and staff at Henry Anderson Elementary, who can look forward to having more space in their school," said Linda Reid, MLA for Richmond East.

Among the main beneficiaries was Surrey, the province's fastest-growing school district, which will get two new elementary schools and additions at two secondary schools.

The province is also purchasing four school sites for future construction in Surrey.

Vancouver, the second largest district, will get one new elementary school in the International Village near False Creek.
