Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between Aug. 30 to Sept. 6.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
August 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 24 customers at:
- 2800 and 2866 Bayview St.
August 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 2960 Chatham St.
August 30 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. August 31
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 8640 Alexandra Rd.
September 1 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 17 customers at:
- 12011, 12060, 12771 7th Ave.
- 2220, 3060 Chatham St.
- 3080 Moncton St.
September 2 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 261 customers at:
- 11671, 11673, 11675 7th Ave
September 3 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 15 customers at:
- 11971, 12111 3rd Ave.
- 12111 4th Ave.
September 3 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 6151, 6171, 6191, 6211 Camsell Cres.
