Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between July 12 and 19.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

July 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 3600, 3640 and 3680 No. 6 Rd.

July 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 9711, 9720, 9731 and 9740 Glenthorne Dr.

July 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rescheduled from June 8)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect six customers at:

  • 6780 Camsel Cres.
  • 6320 to 6380 Taseko Cres.
  • 6280 Taseko Cre.

July 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rescheduled from June 28)

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 9520 and 9540 Garden City Rd

July 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 6619, 6631, 6640 and 6651 Azure Rd

July 19 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:

  • 7751, 7760, 7771 and 7780 Decourcey Crs.
