Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair and replacement work between Oct. 4 to 11.
BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to its website.
“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” says BC Hydro's website.
Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:
October 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement work will affect eight customers at::
- 8955 Cooper Rd.
- 8580, 8600, 8611, 8631, 8651, 8657and 8671 Francis Rd
October 5 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect less than five customers at:
- 6833 Buswell St
October 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pole replacement work will affect less than five customers at:
- Route 99 Massey No 2.
October 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:
- 8680, 8700, 8731, 87408 and 751 Francis Rd.
- 8980 Cooper Rd.
October 7 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 47 customers at:
- 8111 Anderson Rd.
