On Sunday, March 3, Richmond’s seniors will say goodbye to Minoru Place Activity Centre.

The centre, home to Richmond seniors for the past 33 years, will close its doors to allow final preparations for the opening of the new Seniors Centre at the Minoru Centre for Active Living nearby.

The new centre will open for seniors, 55 years and older, on Monday, March 11. The new facility will provide expanded service for the fastest growing segment of Richmond’s population.

Built over two storeys, the new 3,065-square-metres (33,000 square feet) seniors centre will provide double the program space of the existing Minoru Place Activity Centre.
