Westminster Highway between No. 9 Road and McMillan Way will be closed to traffic starting Saturday evening.
The round-the-clock closure, which will be in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, is due to rail crossing upgrades conducted by CN Rail and the City of Richmond.
Drivers should use Highway 91 as an alternative route. While the road will is closed to traffic, access to businesses and residences in the area will be maintained.
The rail work will be done outside of regular working hours as the area typically sees heavy traffic. An exemption to the noise bylaw has been approved for this project.
