Richmond resident Howard Hepworth said he started doing the happy dance after scratching his Super Crossword ticket to $50,000.
Hepworth was waiting to pick up his wife from work when he decided to pop into Seafair Smoke & Mixer at No. 1 and Francis roads to buy a few “scratchies” (Scratch & Win tickets).
“I could not believe what I saw,” he said. “I called the store owner over to verify what I was seeing. She told me to sign my ticket and I said I was too shaky to sign it.”
Hepworth says it’s “amazing to win a big one” and plans to put his prize towards a new car.
