A Richmond RCMP officer drove into an air pump at an Esso gas station while responding to an incident on Friday.
According to Richmond RCMP spokesperson Adriana O'Malley, frontline officers were responding to an alleged assault outside the gas station at No. 1 and Blundell roads.
The RCMP officer struck the air pump with the cruiser, damaging both in the process.
"Fortunately, our officer did not sustain any injuries," said O'Malley.
