Four office girlfriends have 250,000 reasons to smile after they scooped the $1 million Maxmillion bonus.
The women claimed the prize this week after buying their ticket at the Chevron gas station at No. 5 and Bridgeport roads for the Dec. 23 draw.
All four winners work together at Salmons Transfer in Richmond and have played in the same office pool for years.
Paula Martin claimed the winning ticket as the trustee on behalf of the winners.
I got a call from one of the girls to check the numbers, said an excited Martin.
Sure enough, I couldnt believe my eyes. I still cant.
Each of the winners received a cheque for $250,000.
One of our group members was at a casino in Nevada when I phoned, added Martin.
She started crying she was so happy and had to tell everyone around her that no one had died.
Plans for the prizes include going on a girls trip, saving some for retirement and buying some new cars.
