Artists, performers and artisans are invited to showcase their skills at the 20th annual Richmond Maritime Festival.

The Richmond Arts Coalition is making a callout to artists with maritime-heritage-themed ideas to showcase them at the festival from Aug. 26 and 27.

In addition to maritime and coastal performances, the arts coalition is looking for 2D, 3D and audio art installations, including mural artists and scene painters.

Maritime-related artisan demonstrations, presentations and hands-on workshop applications are also welcomed.

Performers, artisans and storytellers will be compensated for their time and work through the Canadian Heritage grant, according to the Richmond Arts Coalition.

Meanwhile, the City of Richmond is also looking for an artist or graphic designer to create this year's signature artwork for the festival.

The deadline for performance and art applications is 11:59 p.m. on June 5 and can be submitted by clicking here.
