Richmond’s COVID-19 weekly numbers are holding steady at 13, according to the latest report from the BC Centre for Disease Control.
The latest data covers the period from July 18 to 24.
Thirteen cases were also detected in the city during the previous reporting period from July 11 to 17.
Meanwhile, the number of cases across B.C. continues to trend upwards. The province reported Friday 243 new cases over the previous 24 hour period. That’s the highest number of new cases in a day since May 28, when B.C. reported 317 cases.
No new deaths were reported on Friday. In total, 1,771 people in B.C. have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
In other data, as of July 29, 84 per cent of Richmond residents aged 12 and up have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the BCCDC’s COVID-19 Surveillance Dashboard.
Furthermore, 60 per cent of Richmondites aged 12 and older have received their second dose.
