There's a chance we could see a snowy Christmas in Richmond.

Richmond, it’s going to be a white Christmas after all. Maybe.

Meterologists have backtracked on their predictions of a sunny, snow-free holiday and are now calling for snowflakes on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Both the Weather Network and Environment Canada are forecasting a 40 per cent chance of scattered flurries during the morning last-minute shopping rush on Christmas Eve, which will turn into light snow by the time Santa’s sleigh flies on by.

The wet flurries will resume on Christmas morning before turning snow as the mercury dips to -3 Celsius that night and continuing as flurries throughout Boxing Day.
