RCMP seek witnesses in motorcycle, pedestrian collision in Richmond

A motorcyclist and a pedestrian were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

Richmond RCMP is asking for witnesses to step forward after a serious motorcycle collision in Richmond last week.

Police officers were called to Granville Avenue near Garden City Road around 4:47 p.m. on Sept. 14 for a collision involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.

The motorcyclist was heading westbound Granville Avenue on the curve from Garden City Road when the incident happened.

Both the motorcyclist and pedestrian were transported to Richmond Hospital by BC Ambulance Services with significant injuries, according to Richmond RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Adriana O’Malley.

Richmond RCMP collision investigative teams and Richmond Fire-Rescue were also on scene.

RCMP is looking for witnesses or dash cam footage from anyone who may have been in the area between 4:40 and 4:55 p.m.

This is the second major motorcycle accident in Richmond to happen this month.
