Poll results: A few Richmond News readers still haven't turned their heating on

Almost 30 per cent of readers who answered the poll have still to click the thermostat on their heating

As we brace for our first real hit of fall weather this week, the Richmond News asked readers if they're still refusing to click that thermostat.

Richmond News polled 261 Richmond News readers and asked the question: When did you turn your heating back on?

The poll ran from 10/24/2022 to 10/27/2022. Of the 261 votes, we can determine that 69 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Haven't yet, still holding out 26.09 % local, 28.35 % total    
On the weekend 37.68 % local, 28.35 % total    
Last week 33.33 % local, 39.46 % total    
It's never been off 2.90 % local, 3.83 % total

Results are based on an online study of adult Richmond News readers that are located in Richmond. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 6.06%, 19 times out of 20.
