Poll result: Almost half of Richmond News readers cutting back on holiday spending

More than 48 per cent of those who answered the poll said were "definitely cutting back this year"

With inflation sitting at record-breaking levels, the Richmond News asked our readers about their spending plans for the upcoming holidays.

Richmond News polled 289 Richmond News readers and asked the question: What are your spending plans for the holidays?

The poll ran from 11/7/2022 to 11/14/2022. Of the 289 votes, we can determine that 93 are from within the community. The full results are as follows:

Full steam ahead, I've already started buying 10.75 % local, 11.42 % total    
I will still buy plenty of gifts, but will shop around more 15.05 % local, 15.22 % total
