Police incident blocks Richmond road on Wednesday

Richmond RCMP officers with rifles were seen in a police incident on Blundell Road.

A police incident has a section of Blundell Road blocked off in Richmond on late Wednesday afternoon.

The area on Blundell Road, between Gilbert and No. 3 roads, is closed off to vehicles and pedestrians.

According to Richmond resident Liza Mayer, officers arrived at the area near 7431 Blundell Road around 6:15 p.m.

Police is seen "armed with rifles" in the front and back of a condo building, says Mayer.

Richmond residents are asked to take Francis Road or Granville Avenue as an alternate route in their travels.
