Planned power outages in Richmond this week

There are a number of planned outages in the city from Feb. 8 to 11.

Richmond residents in multiple areas will experience power outages as BC Hydro has scheduled repair  work from Feb. 8 to 11.

BC Hydro plans regular power outages to perform work on equipment or power lines that require them to be de-energized, according to the its website.

“By planning the outage and doing the necessary work, our crews can prevent a potential unplanned emergency outage in the future, where a part of the system unexpectedly fails or malfunctions,” said BC Hydro on its site.

Here is the list of power outages scheduled for the upcoming week:

Feb. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect eight customers at:

  • 9640, 9651, 9660 and 9671 Seacote Rd.
  • 11311, 11331, 11371 and11391 Seaport Ave.

Feb. 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 147 customers at:

  • 11751 King Rd.
  • 9111 No. 5 Rd.
  • 9331 No. 5 Road

Feb. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect 11 customers at:

  • 4200, 4204, 4208, 4211, 4217, 4220, 4228, 4231, 4237and 4251 Craigflower Dr.
  • 8951 Craigflower Gate

Feb. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Planned work on BC Hydro equipment will affect seven customers at:

  • 8211, 8231, 8271, 8280, 8291, 8311 and 8251 Rideau Dr.
