Pedestrian seriously injured in Richmond collision

Richmond RCMP are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a pick-up truck in the city centre area last week, sending her to hospital with significant injuries.

The driver is under investigation for alleged impaired operation of a motor vehicle, Mounties said in a statement on Tuesday.

The pedestrian was crossing the street at the intersection of Granville Ave and No. 3 Road around 11:36 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, when she was struck by a white Dodge pick-up truck.

She was treated for her injuries at a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
