A crash inside the Massey Tunnel's northbound counterflow has been cleared, but traffic on Highway 99 is heavily backed up in both directions.
The crash had also closed the only southbound lane in the tunnel and traffic is backed up all the way to Westminster Highway.
Drivers are being advised to take alternate routes in and out of Richmond if possible.
There was also a spun-out vehicle on the Westminster Highway on-ramp to southbound Highway 99 that was causing a distraction.
