New traffic and rail signals activated in industrial area of Richmond

The city is advising motorists of a new set of traffic and rail warning signals in an industrial area of east Richmond. The new signals were activated on Wednesday at the busy intersection of Nelson and Blundell roads.

The new signals were activated on Wednesday at the busy intersection of Nelson and Blundell roads.

The city said itself and CN Rail were activating and commissioning the new signals at around 7 a.m. that day.

The area, close to several marine terminals on the south arm of the Fraser River, is a hub for various industries.
