Mounties appeal for witnesses after cyclist struck

An 82-year-old male cyclist is recovering in hospital after being struck by a minivan on Monday. The driver of the van is co-operating with investigators, but police would like to hear from any witnesses to the incident around 4:30 p.m.

The driver of the van is co-operating with investigators, but police would like to hear from any witnesses to the incident around 4:30 p.m. at Cambie and Shell roads.

The cyclist was taken to Vancouver General Hospital where he underwent successful emergency surgery.
