Richmond RCMP says an 85-year-old Richmond man, who was reported missing, has been found dead.

Mounties said in a news release that they are continuing an investigation on Chung Yue Lee's death, but do not believe foul play is a factor at this time.

“Next-of-kin notification has been completed, and our heartfelt sympathies go out to the family,” RCMP said in the release.

The BC Coroners Service has been called in, and Richmond RCMP Victim Services personnel are engaged with family members.

According to police, Lee had left home in the 6200 block of Blundell Road to meet his daughter for lunch at Richmond Centre around 11 a.m. on Nov. 16.

However, he never showed up.

Lee is described as an Asian male, 5ft 2 inches, slim build with grey and white hair, brown eyes and glasses.

Family had been very concerned for Lee’s well-being as he suffered from dementia and hypertension.
